ubuntu merupakan salah satu distro linux turunan dari distro debian. ubuntu berkembang pesat pada akhir 2006 dan menduduki peringkat 5 teratas di distrowatch (rang distro2 linux). jenis nya pun bermacam2,,mulai dari ubuntu gutsy, feisty, hardy, ubuntu 6.10,7.04, 7.10, 8.04, 8.10. ubuntu tersedia dalam paket server dan desktop.

beberapa kelebihan ubuntu antara lain:

- cd mudah didapatkan

- paket berupa .deb yg menjadikan dya distroyg handal

- unggul di desktop version

- tersedia juga paket2 untuk server

- cd ubuntu bisa dipesan secara gratis di https://shipit.ubuntu.com

internet….. sebagian besar orang mngkin tidak tahu pasti apa itu intetnet, dan bagaimana proses yg terjadi ketika kita bermain dengan internet,, bagaimna sejarahnya,,, siapa penemunya,,,,,, peduli apa sih kita sama itu,,, sebagian besar orang malah berpikir,, BAGAIMANA KITA MENDAPATKAN UANG SEBANYAK-BANYAKNYA LEWAT INTERNET?????

sebuah pikiran yang terlalu picik,, bila kita hanya menilai internet dari segi finansial saja. kenapa kita tidak menoleh ke permasalahan negeri ini, negeri ini sedang krisis ilmu pengetahuan,, krisis akhlak mulia,, krisis nasionalisme,,, knpa kita tidak menggunakan internet untuk menjadikannya dia solusi bagi permasalahan kita???

kalo seandainya sekarang ini, detik ini, negara kita di perangi oleh orang luar negeri,, di perangi amerika mngkin,  israel ato yg laen, apa kita siap??? akankah persenjataan kita siap??? apakah tentara2 kita siap??? apakah semua rakyat indonesia mau berperang??? saya rasa TIDAK.

ketika rakyat indonesia sudah tidak memiliki rasa nasionalisme tinggi dan cinta pada bumi pertiwi, mereka mngkin akan lebih memilih untuk lari saja,

apalagi para pejabat yang korupsi,, yang dengan seenaknya memakan uang rakyat dengan dalih untuk pembangunan, proyek dll. mereka pasti hanya akan memikirkan dirinya sendiri, coba kita pikirkan sejenak,, kalo semua orang kaya’ gini,, gmna nasib indonesia nanti??? gmna hasil jerih payah para pejuang itu nantinya????

mereka pasti akan menangis di alam sana,, melihat indonesia telah di huni orang2 yang hanya bisa menjadi benalu bagi indonesia,,

patched windows XP SP 2

ok,,,,,

with skimpy “XP thin client” in Pinux

if you have a computer windows xp professional SP 2 in computer network with pinux, then pinux each computer in network will able to use windows XP and all aplication in (for instance: Ms. Office, Internet Explorer, and other Games-Online other) without installing anything on computer pinux. interesting is not it??

example:

in one internet cafes, there were 10 computers and 1 computer pinux XP pro SP2, all computer pinux will be able to use Windows XP pro is at the same time and can use all aplications installed in the windows XP.

in full screen mode, the screen on the desktop pinux will switch into windows XP desktop, so users will be using one of the windows XP.

the process of computers of comuting is still being done on the windows XP computer, while computer pinux will only function as a desktop interfaces (view), therefore, many users are served by the windows XP computer will be so deependent on the capacity of memory and processor  power of windows Xp on the computer.

to do this, there are 2 to be done,

first, the preparation setting on the windows Xp computer side, and

Second, Pinux Command on the computer.

eg, for the network computer units 1 and 2 units Xp computer pinux, the first step that must be done is ad follow:

set windows Xp computer’s IP becomes

set the IP on the computer pinux:

pinux1 IP 192.168.0.1 / subnet 255.255.255.0

Pinux2 IP 192.168.0.2 / subnet 255.255.255.0

notes : This Ip is free you set up.

check whether the second computer has Pinux can communicate with the XP computers with the way

in teh computer pinux1 click menu system tools – Terminal and type :

ping 192.168.0.3 (enter)

if there is a replay means pinux computer is able to cummunicate with the windows Xp computer, in the computer pinux2 do the same thing.

1. preparation the patch at :

then, install the patch in windows safe mode,

next, create several users of the computer Pinuxin a network with limited user type. the purpose of this is a limited user each user has the setting / profile folders abd Document alone is not mixed so that it will not distrurb each other.

start – control panel – user accounts

next, and make the user follows:

login: user01

password: pass01

and

login : user02

password: user02

note: name logins this free you up.

-Run Fast user switching : control panel

- user account – change the way users log in or off select : Fast user switching.

Right-click on my computer icon on the desktop and select properties and then select the remote tab

give check “allow users to connect remotely to this computer” as it appears in the following picture:

then click select remote users, and enter a user is users that you created previously:

in the above examples tgere are 50 users on the pinux windows XP pro (using the userid xp01 until xp50).

up to here pro-xp computer you are ready to be used to login simultaneously several users at once.

2. at the command computer Pinux

if the setting on the windows xp computers is ready, then that needs to be done on the computers Pinux is as follow:

- click menu system tools – terminal

-example: if you will logged to the windows Xp computer, which in the sample pf learner-IP 192.168.0.3 with user in windows XP  with login “user01″ abd password “pass01″ then type the following:

#rdesktop -a 16 -p -u user01 & pass01 192.168.0.3

for the full screen:

#rdesktop -f -a 16 -p -u user01 & pass01 192.168.0.3

if you have difficulties in the available tools to use them that is relative easy to use, click namely : Menu – system Tools – desktop connection, enter the IP of windows XP computers and click the execute button.

create shortcut to login to XP

you can add a shortcut on the desktop so users Pinux you live pinux clicking shortcut if the login to the windows. by tje way, is as folow :

name: windows XP

Generic Name : Windows XP

Comment : Login to the windows XP

Command : rdesktop -f -a 16 -p -u user01 & pass01 192.168.0.3

Type : Application

then press the OK button

how to install the sortcut:

login as root

copy the file menuxp.tar.gz /root

open the terminal : start – system tools – terminal

type:

tar -xzvf menuxp.tar.gz

– after the install process is complete, enter the IP XP computer, username, and password which has been in dicreate XP on the file /usr/bin/windoz by typing:

pico -w /user/bin/windowz

to save the file press CTRL+X and Y and then ENTER responsibility.

Making FTp server on LInux Debian 4

function: serving the client for upload and download the files

making step:

1. Set ip addrss as interface for Ftp server

# vim /etc/network/interfaces

netmask 255.255.255.0

broadcast 192.168.1.255

2. Install Vsftpd packet

# apt-get install vsftpd

3. configure Vsftp file

# vim /etc/vsftpd.conf

anonymou enable = NO (disable anonymous user)

locla_enable = YES (enable local user for FTp server)

write enable = YES (enable upload for local user)

local_umask = 022

dirmessage_enable = YES

xferlog_enable = YES

connect_from_port_21 = YES

chown_username = whoever

xferlog_file = /var/log/vsftpd.log

idle_session_timeout = 600 (time foe iddle timeout)

data_connection_timeout = 200

4. Running vsftpd daemon

# /etc/init.d/vsftpd start

or if vsftpd is running you can restart it with

# /etc/init.d/vsftpd restart

5. testing Ftp server local

# telnet localhost 21

or

# ftp localhost

6. Try to upload or download the file

login to ftp server

# telnet localhost 21

then insert your user and password

to see the directoru you can type

#ls

to upload

# put filename

to download

# get filename

……

location of File in server FTP in directory of user /home/user

for anonymous user in /home/ftp

Install windows aplication with Crossover

to install the application wondows such as Microsofoft office or Dreamweaver or photoshop we can user croosover to do it…

at the first you must install the crossover package…

dowbload the paket in ftp://118.98.171.229/download/crossover-pro_6.2.0-1_i386.deb

and then you install it

#apt-get install crossover-pro_6.2.0-1_i386.deb

after the process is complete installed on your computer in there menu there will be a crossover tool. and now we can install a windows aplication with these tool…

DHCP server Debian Etch

ok,, in this time i will post the article to  install and configure DHCP server in Linux Debian 4 (Etch)

Before you install andconfigure DHcp server you must setting your interface that will use DHCp server

#vim /etc/network/interfaces

allow-hotplug eth0

address 192.168.1.1

network 192.168.1.0

netmask 255.255.255.0

broadcast 192.168.1.255

auto eth0

…………………………………..

and restart with  # etc/init.d/networking/restart

and at the first we install dhcp server paket,

# apt-get install dhcp3-server

after thr process installation dhcp3-server success, lets we configure it..

now edit the dhcp3-server file:

# vim /etc/dhcp3/dhcpd.conf

edit in this line…

optiondomain-name-servers 202.134.1.10

netmask 255.255.255.0 subnet 192.168.1.0 (

range 192.168.1.2 192.168.1.254;

optiondomain-name-servers 202.134.1.10;

notes: script above will give ip address from 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.254 with subnet mask 255.255.255.0 and gateway 192.168.1.1 (router address)

and next we edit file to configure the dhcp server interfaces

#vim /etc/default/dhcp3-server

interfaces=”eth0″;

and then we run dhcp server daemon

#/etc/init.d/dhcp3-server restart

or if dhcp server not running you can start with

# /etc/init.d/dhcp3-server start

if the respon is ok it mean your setting is successful…. congratulations….
